National Poetry Day is Thursday 8th October – this year’s theme is ‘Heroes & Heroines’. The Williamson Art Gallery will be hosting a reading of new poems based on its collection of Victorian paintings. The event takes place 7.30pm – 9pm and refreshments will be served. Organised by John Gorman, the poets include Janine Pinion, Liam Brayd, Liz Clark and Steve Regan amongst others.
